🏠 Co-Parenting

Co-parenting messages, with a chance to rethink the send.

Co-parenting messages can get heated, especially when plans change. SharedChat puts both parents in one chat with the same AI, which is instructed not to pick winners. If a message sounds heated, it offers a calmer version before you send. You choose which version goes out.

How it works

Before another schedule change becomes an argument

A Co-Parenting chat where the AI lays out who has the kids at Thanksgiving

Both parents in the chat

Invite your co-parent by link. Schedule changes, pickup questions, and AI replies stay in the same conversation, where both of you can read them.

Instructions for difficult conversations

The AI is told not to pick winners and to focus on the children's schedules and practical arrangements. Custody and legal questions are directed to an attorney.

Before you send

If your message sounds heated, the room pauses and suggests a calmer version. Use it or send your original. Nothing is sent automatically.

Find the agreed plan

Ask "What did we decide about Saturday?" and the AI can summarize what was said in the chat. Check the details before relying on the recap.

You ALWAYS do this. I'm done being flexible with your schedule.
Paused before sending

Take a breath. Want to rephrase?

Your message reads as heated. A calmer version keeps the focus on the schedule:

I'm frustrated by the last-minute changes. Can we agree on weekend swaps earlier so I can plan around them?

How SharedChat compares with co-parenting apps

OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents, and Kidtime offer features such as court-friendly records, shared calendars, and expense tracking. Their pricing runs roughly $99 to $352 per parent per year. SharedChat focuses on conversations: both parents can message the same AI, review suggested rewrites, and see replies together. It doesn't replace court-record or scheduling tools.

Questions

Before you invite your co-parent

Does my co-parent have to agree to use it?

They can read what you've shared without an account. To reply, they need a free account. If they don't want to join, you can still use the room privately to draft a message.

Will the AI take my side if I explain the situation?

The room is instructed not to pick a winner between parents. It can help clarify a schedule or suggest wording, but it can still misunderstand what someone meant. You can question its replies.

Can it be used as evidence in court?

SharedChat isn't designed as a court-record system. If you need records for a legal proceeding, ask your attorney what documentation is appropriate. Apps such as OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents offer recordkeeping features.

Does it block heated messages?

No. When it detects a heated message, it offers a calmer version. You can use that version or choose Send anyway. Nothing goes out automatically.

Is it priced per parent?

No. Each person can use a free account, which includes all seven rooms and 10 AI replies per day. Plus is $9.99/month for higher limits. Your co-parent doesn't have to upgrade because you do.
